ARCHITECTURE + INTERIOR DESIGN
FLAWLESS FITCH MOUNTAIN
Dear clients of ours asked us to renovate their newly purchased home, which was designed by Mario Corbett in 1955 and had barely been touched since. Our design goal was to carefully tweak Mario’s beautiful work to the way our clients envisioned living in it, while imbuing it with a quiet earthiness. We re-imagined the kitchen, while also rejuvenating the foyer, dining room, and adjacent powder room. We replaced tall cabinetry in the middle of the kitchen with an island to open up the space for entertaining, and we clad the island with marble to provide a delicious contrast to the redwood walls.
