WILLOW CREEK WONDER
This extensive renovation marked Phase 2 of an earlier project in which we had transformed a garage into a primary living space and music room, while also providing interior architecture and design services for a guest house. At that time, the remainder of the main residence remained untouched.
Originally built in 1990, the home was ready for a comprehensive refresh. This phase included a full kitchen and pantry remodel, as well as thoughtful updates to the living room, bedrooms, and bathrooms. We also refined the stairwell, introduced water-resistant stone flooring at key entryways, replaced an awkward main entry door, and redesigned the fireplace wall to anchor the living space with greater presence and warmth.
The homeowners, both creative and fun-spirited, were eager to incorporate playful, artistic elements throughout. Highlights include a custom slat wall with an integrated shoe bench at the south entry, several striking sculptural light fixtures, and a curated selection of handcrafted tiles and wallpaper. Finally, we replaced and enlarged numerous windows to better frame the sweeping views and bring the landscape into the heart of the home.
